Little Clearance Skeleton Costumes

What I perhaps don't talk enough about is how much I love clearance aisles, thrift stores, and well anything at a tremendous discount. We have had a very busy year. My son is going to a school for autism about an hour away which means we are a commuting family these days and my husband has switched jobs which is always stressful. Needless to say, I needed something low key and simple. I did make my husbands hat for his costume and made some adorable skeleton socks for my kids (which as you can see in the pictures only one of my children agrees to wear) but I bought my children clearance skeleton pajamas for halloween and I think they look adorable. They also glow really well and I should get some more pics on halloween that I will add into this post so you can see the glowing hopefully. I would suggest to all parents out there that deciding what you want them to be next year or at least getting some ideas is a good idea now because things will go on major clearance after halloween and that will be a great time to even buy supplies if you plan on making a costume. I know it is hard for parents with kids that are very picky about what they want to be each year but even just starting to get ideas.

Mickey Halloween

We love Disney everything, I don't think calling us fans even expresses my excitement about disney everything. I'm a bit of a fanatic and always have been. We will be traveling down to California this month and attending Mickey's Halloween Party. I am so excited. We are a little nervous how the boys will do but...we will see and have some fun either way. Logen and Cruz are going to be mike and sully and jared and I are boring, we will just be wearing monsters inc. helmets but either way, we are thrilled. We will run around and go trick or treating, wait in lines, eat candy, and watch the halloween parade.

Anyway, I decided to look up some mickey halloween ideas. Their are tons of ideas by the way, so many cute and simple thoughts. take a look!

I love some contrast. In decor, it makes everything stand out and Halloween is full of shock and shimmer. Black and white decor sounds awesome! I have found some spooky and monochrome ideas to get excited about. Take a look...

The Nightmare before Christmas Party

We all love the classic nightmare, The Night Before Christmas starring Jack Skellington; the darling and perfect halloween character. In my eyes, Tim Burton is a genius and this is his masterpiece. I love so many of his movies and this is definitely one of my favorite and on the top of my halloween movies to watch list. so I was thinking...why not turn this awesome movie into a party?

I began looking for ideas. I love finding new and exciting themes for parties and luck would have it, their are tons of awesome ideas for a jack skellington themed party, especially with desserts. Their are so many cute and creepy cupcakes for this party theme. Some of them are a little more complicated while others, are super easy and anyone could pull them off.

I picture blacks, white, and deep purples for this party with hints of orange here and there as well. You could throw in some green like these boogie man cupcakes as well. Something fun, easy, and of course creative. Also you should definitely check out The Nightmare Before Christmas Collectionary.

Candy Corn Halloween Party

Candy Corn Party

Their is no other candy that quite spells out halloween like candy corn. The bright orange and yellow colors mixed with the sugary high brings you into this spooky and spunky holiday with one bite. I have created a round up of ideas for a candy corn themed party. This theme has recipe ideas, lots of great decorations, and a few games and activities too!

This theme would be great for young kids especially because it's not too scary and has no real spook element so it would just be fun. The colors are a blast to play with and you can definitely do this kind of party under a budget. I will admit their are many more treats than anything else in this round up but I couldn't resist, their were so many to choose from. I would suggest not making all of these though for a party, lol...the kids (or you) will be on a serious sugar high not to mention, you will be left with way too much food.

Either way, take a look at the wonderful candy corn love. A candy corn party would be so much fun!
