My little sis, em turned the big 18 a few weeks ago. She had such a fun party that I helped plan and put together. I can't believe she is a senior in high school but it was definitely fun to celebrate with her and her bajillion friends.
For the party, we went with a very vintage and easy low key theme. We bought soda, some vintage candies, and borrowed a huge and awesome popcorn machine from my grandpa. The candy labels I made by simply painting some tape with chalk paint and then writing on the tape and putting them on the jars. It was super duper easy. The big expense was the giant movie screen but we got a great deal and it was such a hit. They played despicable me and just hung out.
We also tried to light up some brown paper bags with battery powered tea light candles although they werent quite bright enough. They did look cool though.
