alright so I started with a crib for my little boy but soon after he started using it, he began banging his head on the bars and was growing out of it quick. when he hit about 9 months, it was recalled so this time around, I purchased the joovy room 2 play yard

#1. I measured how big I wanted the play yard skirt to me. I cut 4 pieces out (one for each side of the play yard. As you can tell by the pictures, I didn't make it straight. I cut it up and down. I like how it looks but I also wanted this to be as easy as possible.
#2. I hand stitched with yard around the edges of the brown felt on both the top and bottom and attached the other pieces together by continuing to sew to the next piece, through all four pieces and so it became one large piece.
#3. I cut out green strips that looked like pieces of grass and then I hot glued them to the brown piece of felt until the entire skirt was filled with "grass"
#4. last to attach it, I simply wrapped it around the play yard and and attached velcro strips (by hot gluing them) to the beginning of the brown felt and the end of the brown felt. (I didn't attach it at all to the play yard). I did pull it quite tight before deciding where to place the velcro strips so that it would be tight.
